2nd Sunday of Advent
Put on the splendor of glory from God forever
God will show all the earth your splendor:
You will be named by God forever
The Lord has done great things for us; we are filled with joy
The LORD has done great things for them. The LORD has done great things for us.
Although they go forth weeping.........They shall come back rejoicing
(Until) the day of Christ Jesus
That your love may increase ever more and more
That you may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ
A baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins
A voice of one crying out in the desert
Prepare the way of the Lord, (make straight his paths)
Every valley shall be filled
and every mountain and hill shall be made low.
The winding roads shall be made straight,
and the rough ways made smooth
All (flesh) shall see the salvation of God.
Faithfulness of God
Forgiveness of Sin
Return From Exile
Splendor of the Church
The Oneness of the Church
Weeping Turned To Joy
How does God "deliver" us?
What Has God Done for Us (You)?
What's In A Name?
Proclaimimg the Gospel
With the appearance of so many unfamiliar names, the delivery should be slowed down and be methodical without succumbing to "sing-song-ing" of the text.
Be careful of "localisms" in the names. For instance it is zeh-kuh-RY-uh not zAck-a-rye-uh
Other pronunciations can be heard at howjsay
